Summer like this; Sun & Ice Cream ... delightful! Let Peter Pan come out once again, but this time with coffee cravings.
- 2 eggs.
- 1/2 cup sugar.
- 1/2 TSP salt.
- 1 cup whole milk.
- 1-1/2 cups heavy whipping cream.
- 1/2 cup Nutella.
- 3 ounces sweet chocolate, chopped.
- 3 TBSP orange juice.
- 1/2 cup chopped roasted hazelnuts.
- 50 ml GuODLE coffee.
1: Whisk eggs, sugar, and salt until blended; stir in milk. Cook over medium-low heat and stir constantly. Do not allow to boil!
2: Gently strain into a bowl; whisk in cream, coffee, orange juice, and Nutella until it becomes smooth. Stir in chopped chocolate. Refrigerate overnight.
3: Pour custard into an ice cream container (or something similar to what's at your hand). Add and stir in hazelnuts, this you do just before freezing. Freeze until firm, 3-5 hours.
4: Before enjoying this delightful Ice Cream take a big breath, smile ... and yes, bite in!
